The Client's Request
A beach team building for Ace Works
Ace Works, a loyal client we have known and worked with for years, asked us organise a fun and physically engaging team building event for all sixty members of their team. The setting they had chosen was already something special: a stunning beach club in Tuscany, selected by the client themselves, and the aim was to turn that day into an authentic moment of togetherness, energy, and team spirit.
Smart Eventi's Proposal
Cardboard boxes, parcel tape, and a whole lot of creativity: the perfect beach team building activity
After carefully assessing the client's needs, we identified the carton boat as the ideal activity for this setting. The concept involves designing and building small vessels using only cardboard boxes, packing tape, and a handful of salvaged materials and then putting them to the actual test on the water, with the winning team being the one whose boat stays afloat the longest. It is an experience that brings together creativity, ingenuity, teamwork, and healthy competition, making it a perfect fit for a seaside venue. Despite the tighter-than-usual timeframe, we managed the entire activity in just two hours, delivering a complete and thoroughly satisfying result for all participants.
Achieved Results
A team building success with Ace Works
The most memorable moment of the entire day came when all the teams gathered to present their finished and decorated cardboard boats ahead of the race. There was something truly special in the air: the participants were visibly united, proud of what they had built together, and able to convey, quite naturally, a sense of cohesion that went well beyond ordinary team spirit. The setting of a public beach added something extra: passers-by and children stopped to watch, becoming enthusiastic onlookers and, in some ways, even part of the event itself, as the atmosphere became genuinely contagious. Ace Works has been working with us for three years now, and they never fail to show why they are such a healthy, grounded company, approaching these experiences with exactly the right spirit: authentic, convivial, and genuinely good fun.
