Virtual fair


GECO Expo was Italy's first virtual sustainability expo with two editions. The first on January 28-29-30, 2021, and the second held March 1-4, 2022

The event, conceived and organized by our Smart Eventi team thanks to the virtual event platform Hypersmarter, was born as a response to the consequences of the pandemic on the events industry.

The fair offered, to all its participants, visitors, buyers and exhibitors, the immersive experience of a trade show in a totally virtual and interactive environment, highly personalized in all aspects.

In the first 2021 edition, many topics were covered during the three-day event: sustainable tourism, green mobility and digital transformation.

In contrast, the second edition 2022 saw four days under the banner of sustainability and its adaptability to various fields: sustainable tourism, circular economy, eco-food, mobility and sustainable energy were the topics covered.

March 1, 2022: Sustainable energy and tourism

March 3, 2022: Eco-food

March 4, 2022: Circular economy, open innovation, and final awards ceremony for the best videos on projects and best practices related to the good and constant practice of sustainability and biodiversity.

In addition to the central exhibition area for networking between exhibitors and buyers, the round table and green talk program was very successful, with over 90 speakers confronting it during the 4 days of the event. Numerous voices of the green economy intervened, sharing the best practices of their companies, giving evidence that business models can become sustainable.

The flagship of GECO Expo was the Smart Talk video Contest, the highest expression of innovation, where startups and companies, including international ones, presented their projects with the aim of offering solutions in the field of sustainability and biodiversity. The best were then awarded by our jury of experts, receiving special prizes.

The aim is to bring together all stakeholders interested in realizing a future of sustainable development, bringing together companies and institutions, innovators and investors, young startuppers and representatives of the sustainable tourism, eco-food, mobility and renewable energy sectors.

The Smart Eventi touch

We took care of the entire creation of the virtual fair, from the creation of the website connected to the virtual platform to the creation of the virtual world with all the characteristics that a fair space should have: interactive pavilions with exhibitor stands, auditorium where you can participate in the tables roundabouts, spaces dedicated to sponsors and interactive areas.

In addition to creating the environment, we took care of the communication of the fair itself through advertising campaigns, collaborations with sponsors and journalistic editors but also digital newspapers and blogs. Among the newsrooms that reported on the success of GECO Expo of particular note is the Tg2 report in the "Si Viaggiare" column.

We filled the 4 days with a rich program of live streaming meetings where the best speakers in the sector, selected by us, discussed the themes of the fair.

We managed the relations with the exhibitors, guiding them in setting up their own stand, as well as all the technical support to the visitors and buyers attending the event alongside with the direction of all the live streaming content.
