The Customer's Request

Organizing an incentive trip to discover Made In Italy

We were contacted by one of the most famous multinational companies based in Denmark in the audit landscape for the realization of a 4-day incentive trip to Italy for 200 employees of the Accor Tax department, to increase the productivity and aggregation of the team, alternating moments of work and brainstorming, with moments of leisure.

Given the complexity of the event and the customer's requests, we needed to find a location equipped with adequate spaces and facilities. We had to support the organization of all team building, relaxation and refreshment activities, evening activities, easy to reach, and, above all, able to recall all those typical characteristics of Italian culture and tradition.

Given the client's origin, we thought it might be interesting to propose a location that went beyond the borders of Lombardy, giving the opportunity to get to know and "experience" those regions that in the collective imagination represent Italian landscapes and culture abroad.

After an intense activity of location scouting and site inspections we have selected a 5-star resort in the heart of Tuscany, in the Sienese countryside. The structure took place on a rural village of medieval origin, preserving its ancient architecture. 72 rooms and suites, 130 hectares of land for a golf course, banquet room, and terrace with a view of Siena as a backdrop.

During the 4 days, we organized all kinds of activities aimed at satisfying the customer's needs, alternating team building, such as games without borders and the Drum circle, with theme nights such as "Welcome Italy" and "Hell vs Paradise". We made sure that guests could get to know and taste every aspect of "Made In Italy" and our culture, trying different typicalities and activities, from the culinary art of the Tuscan tradition, to folk music and dances, and artistic traditions.

Setting up different corners or services every evening designed and implemented by our team aimed to emphasizing Made In, helped in creating the right atmosphere between clients and organization.

We proposed to immerse the client in the ltalian style a photobooth composed of typical 50' red wasp, hay bales, baskets of chili peppers, fruits and vegetables, straw hats themed gadgets. A buffet organized in thematic corners that offered the best regional dishes of the Italian tradition: fresh pasta with different toppings, the pizza bee, fried food, charcuterie and cheese corner; a buffet made even more typical by the live cooking shows that definitely made the difference: participants were able to see the preparation of different types of fresh pasta, pizza, and mozzarella made by hand by a cheesemaker.

We also organized morning yoga activities for muscle awakening, with professional teachers for anyone who wanted to start the day with more energy; visits to a renowned winery in the area and final tasting of the area's best wines from Sangiovese, to Pinot Noir, to Cabernet and Sauvignon; aperitif at the hotel by the pool; and, to top it all’off, we could not miss Italy's national sport, soccer. We proposed a challenge in a local sports center among the guests.

Definitely the highlight of this corporate trip was the themed party, totally designed by our team: the concept, set-up and entertainment, all tailored to the client, who was able to delight in music from the Italian folk tradition accompanied by a musical trio who, with accordion, violin and guitar, moved among the guests, making them dance and sing songs from our culture.

Last but not least, the organization of the meetings with the necessary tools and all the transfer services for all 4 days.

Achieved Results

Satisfied customer and a new opening to foreign countries for Smart Events

The event had the desired success by exceeding the expectations of the customer who was fascinated above all by the location, exploited to its fullest, and managed to make the atmosphere of each activity magical. Detailed planning and meticulous organization of every aspect made sure that everything went smoothly, working in peace. The spearhead of this event and the results achieved is the empathy and the relationship of trust born between the Smart Eventi staff and the customer.
